Our Story

Named for the five banyans of the Ramayana

Panchavati — the forest of five sacred banyan trees where Lord Rama is said to have lived in exile — lends its name to our hotel. It's a fitting one: Omkareshwar itself is a place people come to for shelter, stillness and devotion, and we built this hotel to offer exactly that to every traveller who reaches our door.

We are a family-run property, opposite Gajanand Ashram on Mamleshwar Temple Marg, in the middle of everything that draws people to this island town on the Narmada. Our rooms are simple and deluxe rather than grand, because what most guests need after a day of temple visits and river crossings is a clean bed, cool air, hot water, and people who genuinely want them to rest well.

Why Guests Return

Small hotel, close attention

Location that works

Every major sight in Omkareshwar — the ghats, both Jyotirlingas, the hanging bridge — is a walk away, not a rickshaw ride.

A house, not a chain

We greet guests by name by the second day. Requests like a late check-out are met with a conversation, not a policy sheet.

Consistent guest feedback

From families on a first Jyotirlinga darshan to solo travellers passing through, our guests keep telling us the same thing — that the stay felt looked-after, not transactional.
